A nation can only progress, when they are independent from foreign reliance for its major projects. This will only happen when we are ready to embrace our own human as well as natural resources in a befitting manner. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Science & Technology was addressing the participants of inaugural session of one-day mini-symposium workshop of prioritization of research and development to promote academia-industry partnership being convened at the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (PIMS).

While addressing the participants, the Federal Minister for Science & Technology appreciated the idea put forward by Dr. Javed, (PIMS) to carry a workshop on promoting academia-industrial relationship. This is the need of this era, where each country has to excel in its industry and no industry can be fully operational to meet the needs of a nation unless they know the problems and demands of their consumers.
