PR No .275 IDB PRESIDENT CALLS ON FINANCE MINISTER Islamabad

Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al Madani, President, Islamic Development Bank for a meeting here Tuesday.

Current profile of IDB financing for different projects in Pakistan was discussed on the occasion. Minister Dar appreciated IDB’s continued support to Pakistan and hoped it would further expand in scope and volume in future.

IDB it may be mentioned has a three billion dollar ongoing financing programme in Pakistan.

The IDB President on this occasion shared with the Minister details of IDB’s recent annual meetings held at Jakarta. The Finance Minister said that on his instructions, Secretary Economic Affairs Division represented Pakistan at the meeting as he could not attend the event due to engagement in budget preparations.

Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al Madani expressed his best wishes for Prime Minister, Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and prayed for his complete recovery and health after the operation. Finance Minister appreciated the kind sentiments of Ahmed Mohamed Ali and said that the whole Pakistan nation prayed for complete health of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Senior officials of the Economic Affairs Division also attended the meeting.
