President Mamnoon Hussain has emphasized that efforts should be made for the welfare of the people to ensure improvement in their standard of life.

The President said this while talking to Governor Punjab, Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Thursday.

Governor Punjab lauded the address of the President at the Joint Sitting of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) at the beginning of the new parliamentary year noting that it was very comprehensive encompassing all aspects and issues. Mr. Rajwana appreciated that useful suggestions were given by President Mamnoon during his address pertaining to democracy and national progress.

The President stated that steps should be taken to provide relief to the people and quality educational and healthcare services be made available to them.

Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana apprised President Mamnoon of the developmental activities being undertaken in the Punjab province.
