Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has congratulated the leadership and newly elected representatives of the Independent Group on its success in the Supreme Court Bar Association elections.
The Federal Minister extended his congratulations to Syed Amjad Shah and his entire panel, saying that the Independent Group’s continued electoral success reflects the confidence of the legal fraternity in the leadership of Ahsan Bhoon.
Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar said that the Independent Group has consistently worked for the welfare of lawyers, the dignity of bar associations, and the supremacy of law. He added that the confidence reposed in the group reflects the legal community’s commitment to democratic values, principled struggle, and professional responsibility.
The Federal Minister also paid tribute to the late Asma Jahangir, saying that her principled struggle and services for the promotion of democratic values and the rule of law remain a guiding light for the legal fraternity. Her legacy and ideals continue to inspire the legal community.
Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar expressed the hope that the new leadership of the Independent Group would continue to play a constructive role in promoting lawyers’ welfare, upholding the dignity of the bar, and strengthening the justice system.
