The Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, is on an official visit to Azerbaijan this week, where he addressed an international roundtable in Baku. The visit is being undertaken at the special invitation of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of the Turkic World (TÜRK-AY), which granted the Court observer status in July 2026.
The international roundtable, held under the theme “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Functioning of Constitutional Courts,” brought together heads, senior officials and judges of the constitutional courts of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Cyprus. The Hon’ble Chief Justice delivered a detailed address on the subject.
At the conclusion of the event, the Hon’ble Chief Justice presented commemorative shields and gifts representing Pakistan’s cultural heritage to the participants. He also extended an invitation to Dr. Farhad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to visit Pakistan, which he graciously accepted.
Prior to the roundtable, the Hon’ble Chief Justice visited the Victory Monument and the memorial of Azerbaijan’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev, in Baku, where he laid floral wreaths.
The official visit will continue until 24 October 2026 and is expected to further strengthen judicial cooperation and the exchange of experience between the two countries.
