PR No. 108 AMBASSADOR OF ITALY CALLS ON MINISTER FOR WATER AND POWER Islamabad

Mr Stefano Pontecorvo , Ambassador of Italy along with Mr. Luca Vignati, Executive Vice President-designate ENI,called on Khwaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for water and Power here in his office.

Areas of mutual interest and cooperation in the field of energy sector came under discussion in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion the Minister said that Pakistan is looking for strengthening of relation with Italy. He said that the economy of Pakistan is progressing and initiatives taken by the present democratic government are friendly for the international community to get invest in Pakistan specially in energy and infrastructure developments. ‘’Mutual trade and business and people to people contact may be increased for strengthening of bilateral relations’ ‘he added.

The ambassador apprised about the friendly relations Pakistan and Italy are enjoying at various level
