The Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has ordered the heads of NADRA and Passport and Immigration department to nominate senior officers “who should personally visit service centers for a month and inspect the working of these centers with a view to address the grievances faced by the public in this regard.”

“Senior Officers should remain stationed at the centers for a month and evaluate the issues faced by the local people in getting the Passport and CNICs across all centers of Pakistan,” the Interior Minister directed chairman NADRA and director general passport and immigration during the meeting.

He directed that the role of middlemen / agents at centers of NADRA and Passport office should completely be eliminated to lessen the troubles, faced by the ordinary people.

Zero tolerance policy should remain in place for agent mafias and middlemen who are minting money from innocent people in urban or rural area centers of NADRA and passport offices.

“Why people have to wait and stand in long queues when we are having most advanced digital system in place all over Pakistan for issuance of CNICs and Passports,” remarked the minister.
