Federal Minister for Law & Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has said that providing speedy and affordable justice to government employees is among the government’s priorities, emphasizing the need to improve the performance and institutional capacity of the Federal Service Tribunal for the timely and transparent disposal of pending appeals.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Chairman Federal Service Tribunal Rana Asadullah Khan, who called on the Federal Minister at his office. The meeting discussed the Tribunal’s performance, administrative structure, service-related matters concerning government employees and the timely resolution of pending appeals.
Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar assured the Chairman that the Ministry of Law & Justice would extend all possible administrative and financial support to enhance the Tribunal’s effectiveness and institutional capacity.
The meeting also discussed improving the Tribunal’s infrastructure, expanding the scope of the e-courts system and further strengthening the digital appeal management system to facilitate effective case monitoring and timely disposal.
Rana Asadullah Khan thanked the Federal Minister for assuring the Ministry’s support and reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the Constitution and the law and ensuring merit-based decisions.
He also expressed his resolve to make the digital appeal management system more effective to expedite pending cases and improve the Tribunal’s overall performance.
The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening institutional coordination to promote transparency, timely decisions and effective access to justice in service-related matters concerning government employees.
