The Cabinet Committee on Disposal of Legislative Cases, chaired by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, approved draft amendments to the Pakistan Oil Refining, Blending, Transportation, Storage and Marketing Rules, 2016, Section 30 of the OGRA Ordinance, 2002, and the Federal Public Service Commission Ordinance, 1977, along with a proposal to make Pakistan Marine Academy a degree-awarding institution and several other legislative proposals.
The meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Disposal of Legislative Cases was held at the Cabinet Division here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar. Various legal and administrative matters were considered in detail.
Representatives of the relevant ministries, departments and divisions attended the meeting.
The committee approved draft amendments to the Pakistan Oil Refining, Blending, Transportation, Storage and Marketing Rules, 2016.
The committee approved an amendment to Section 30 of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority Ordinance, 2002, including a proposal for the creation of a Member Law position in OGRA.
The committee also approved an amendment to the Federal Public Service Commission Ordinance, 1977.
The committee approved the proposal to make the Pakistan Marine Academy a degree-awarding institution, under which the academy will be upgraded as the Pakistan Marine Institute, Karachi.
The committee approved the draft bill for repeal of the National Institute of Electronics Ordinance, 1979.
The committee also approved the Federal Flood Commission Re-establishment, Restructuring and Reforms Bill, 2026.
A draft amendment to the rules relating to the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) was also presented before the committee. The committee decided to consider the matter in its next meeting.
