Government Taking Steps to Resolve Issues of Legal Fraternity: Law Minister

Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar Meets Lawyers’ Leaders; Issues Faced by Legal Fraternity and Their Resolution Discussed

Islamabad: September 15, 2026

Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar said on Tuesday that lawyers were playing an important role in promoting the rule of law and ensuring access to justice. He said that the government was taking all possible measures to address the issues faced by the legal fraternity.

Various delegations of lawyers from Layyah, Mianwali, Piplan and other areas called on the Federal Minister for Law and Justice here at the Ministry of Law and Justice. During the meetings, matters concerning the legal fraternity, issues faced by lawyers and matters relating to the law and justice sector were discussed.

Those who met the Federal Minister included Syed Ghazanfar Abbas Bukhari, Advocate High Court and Member Punjab Bar Council from Layyah; Malik Subah Sadiq Awan, Advocate and Member Punjab Bar Council from Mianwali; Abdul Sattar Alvi, Advocate High Court and former President District Bar Association Layyah; Sardar Sami Ullah Khan, Advocate and former President Piplan Bar; Shiekh Sajaad Ahmad, Advocate; Malik Tamoor Sultan Awan, Advocate; Malik Muhammad Zahid, Advocate; and others.

The lawyers’ leaders apprised the Federal Minister of various issues and matters faced by the legal fraternity. The Federal Minister listened to their concerns and discussed the relevant matters with them.

Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar appreciated the role and services of the legal fraternity and said that lawyers were playing an important role in promoting the rule of law and ensuring access to justice. He said that the government was taking steps to resolve the issues faced by the legal fraternity.
