A ten-member media delegation from Uzbekistan has arrived in Pakistan on a seven-day visit aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing media and people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
The delegation, comprising prominent Uzbek television personalities, digital content creators, YouTubers, influencers and social media personalities, is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of the Government of Pakistan. During its stay, the delegation will interact with representatives of various public and private sector institutions and observe Pakistan’s progress and achievements in diverse fields.
A major focus of the visit is to provide the visiting media personalities an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into Pakistan’s evolving media landscape, particularly the role of television, digital media and social media in shaping public discourse, promoting Pakistan’s image and contributing to social and economic development.
The delegation will also explore opportunities for enhanced media cooperation and exchange of content and experiences between the two brotherly countries. The visit is expected to provide a platform for the Uzbek media personalities to develop a deeper understanding of Pakistan and share their observations and experiences with audiences in Uzbekistan through television, digital platforms and social media.
As part of the visit, the delegation will tour important cultural, historical and tourist destinations, including Murree, Taxila and Lahore, besides visiting prominent landmarks in Islamabad. The visitors will have an opportunity to experience Pakistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage, including the ancient civilization of Taxila and the architectural and historical legacy of Lahore.
The delegation will also visit Faisal Mosque, one of Pakistan’s most prominent modern architectural landmarks, where they will observe its distinctive architectural design and appreciate the blend of contemporary architecture with the country’s centuries-old cultural and architectural traditions.
The visit forms part of Pakistan’s efforts to promote greater understanding between the peoples of Pakistan and Uzbekistan and to further strengthen the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries through enhanced media engagement, cultural exchanges, tourism and people-to-people contacts.
The visit is expected to contribute to greater visibility of Pakistan’s diverse cultural heritage, tourism potential, economic development and contemporary achievements among audiences in Uzbekistan, while creating new avenues for cooperation between the media communities of the two countries.
