The Pakistan Pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) 2026 was inaugurated today by Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan at the ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi. The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of Pakistan’s publishing and literary community, including Mr. Murad Ali Mohmand, Director Headquarters, National Book Foundation Pakistan (NBF); Mr. Amar Shahid, Director, Book Corner Pakistan; and Mr. Sarmad Khan, Co-Founder, Urdu Books World.
The Pakistan Pavilion showcases a diverse collection of publications reflecting Pakistan’s literary, educational, cultural and intellectual heritage. It features publications from the NBF, Book Corner Pakistan and other leading Pakistani publishers, covering Urdu and English literature, children’s books, education, history, culture, religion, poetry, fiction, biographies and contemporary works.
Following the inauguration, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan toured the Pavilion and interacted with participating publishers. He appreciated their efforts to promote Pakistani literature internationally and reaffirmed the Embassy’s support for strengthening Pakistan’s literary and cultural presence in the UAE.
The Ambassador also met H.E. Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), the organising body of the Fair. They discussed opportunities to enhance Pakistan-UAE cooperation in literature, publishing, translation, education and cultural exchange.
The Ambassador appreciated the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre’s efforts in bringing together publishers, authors and cultural institutions from around the world through the annual Book Fair.
The Pakistan Pavilion, located at Hall 5, Stand 5E24, ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi, will welcome visitors from 13 to 18 September 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, providing an opportunity to explore Pakistan’s literary and publishing landscape.
