A high-level delegation from the Gates Foundation called on Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja. The delegation was led by Dr. Kalpana Kochhar, Interim President of the Global Policy & Advocacy Division and Dr. Anita Zaidi, President of the Gender Equality Division, Gates Foundation.
Speaking during the meeting, Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja highlighted government's flagship "Digital Nation Pakistan" agenda, outlining its role in driving inclusive digital growth, modernizing public service delivery, and building a robust digital economy. She emphasized that international partnerships, particularly with Gates Foundation, remain central to realizing the vision of a digitally empowered Pakistan.
The delegation commended Pakistan's progress in digital transformation in recent years, particularly the reforms and initiatives undertaken by the IT Ministry. Both sides agreed to deepen collaboration in artificial intelligence, the digital economy, data systems, health technology, financial inclusion, capacity building, and technology-driven development.
