Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan held a high-level meeting with Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail in Islamabad today to review ongoing and proposed infrastructure initiatives across the province. The discussions centered on critical National Highway Authority (NHA) projects aimed at upgrading road connectivity, enhancing trade routes, and driving socio-economic progress in Balochistan. Senior leadership, including the Federal Secretary for Communications and the Chairman of the National Highway Authority, was also present during the session.
Focusing on major communication links, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted the strategic significance of the Rs. 415 billion N-25 Karachi-Quetta-Chaman Highway upgrade, officially designated as the Pakistan Expressway. He stated that the modern, state-of-the-art expressway will substantially reduce the travel time between Karachi and Quetta, establishing a crucial commercial artery for Balochistan and the broader region.
Reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to executing high-priority infrastructure, the Minister assured that the NHA is taking all necessary measures to guarantee the timely completion of national highway projects across the province.
Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail expressed deep gratitude to Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan for prioritizing the N-25 Pakistan Expressway, commending the NHA's valuable contribution to the development of Balochistan’s transit network.
