“JVs WITH QATAR FOR EXPANSION OF HIGHWAYS”

PRINCE OF QATAR SHEIKH NAIF CALLED ON ABDUL ALEEM KHAN

Prince of Qatar Sheikh Naif bin Eid Al Thani called on Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan. The meeting discussed matters of mutual interest, bilateral cooperation, investment and opportunities for joint ventures between Pakistan and Qatar.

Talking during the meeting, Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan said that Pakistan and Qatar enjoy strong religious, cultural and historic ties. He mentioned that thousands of Pakistanis are associated with education and employment in Qatar while people-to-people and fraternal relations between the two countries are growing stronger with each passing day. Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said Pakistan would warmly welcome investment from Qatar, adding that there are vast opportunities for joint ventures in the construction, expansion and development of Motorways and Highways. He emphasized that enhanced bilateral cooperation and joint business ventures would serve the interests of both countries while Pakistan is providing a conducive environment for investment. Abdul Aleem Khan said Qatar holds particular importance in the region and appreciated its active role in promoting regional peace and stability. He also expressed appreciation for Qatar’s contribution to peace efforts in the region.

On the occasion, Prince Sheikh Naif bin Eid Al Thani expressed interest in investing in various sectors of Pakistan and said Qatar was keen to further strengthen its relations and cooperation with Pakistan. He also emphasized the importance of expanding trade and business ties between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to explore new avenues of cooperation and investment in various sectors between Pakistan and Qatar. The two dignitaries exchanged good wishes and gifts were also exchanged at the conclusion of the meeting.
