An in-house ceremony was held today at FBR Headquarters, Islamabad, to acknowledge and appreciate the outstanding contributions made in public service and literature by officers of the Federal Board of Revenue who have been nominated for prestigious national civil awards.
Chairman FBR Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial congratulated all the nominees and commended their unwavering commitment, dedication and valuable contributions to public service. He appreciated their professionalism and continued efforts towards strengthening the institution and advancing FBR’s institutional objectives.
The Chairman stated that the Government is placing a strong focus on the performance and reform of FBR and is encouraging its officers to perform their responsibilities with integrity and dedication. He emphasized that these awards are not merely a recognition of individual achievements but also represent the collective efforts of all officers and employees of FBR who continue to work for the betterment of the organization and the country.
He further stated that the FBR reform process is continuing and requires sustained commitment, hard work and a strong sense of responsibility from all officers. He urged the officers to maintain the momentum of reforms and continue discharging their duties with dedication in the larger national interest.
The officers nominated for the prestigious awards for their contributions to public service include Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial, Chairman FBR, for Hilal-i-Imtiaz; Dr. Hamid Ateeq Sarwar, Member Strategic Transformation, for Sitara-i-Imtiaz; Dr. Mohammad Iqbal, Member Administration, for Sitara-i-Imtiaz; Mr. Muhammad Taqi Qureshi for Sitara-i-Imtiaz; Syed Shakeel Shah, Member Customs Operations, for Sitara-i-Imtiaz; Mr. Zubair Bilal, Member IR-Operations, for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz; Mr. Munir Ahmed Chaudhry for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz; Mr. Ajaz Hussain for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz; Sheikh Zahid Masood for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz; and Mr. Azhar Hussain Marchant for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.
In addition, Mr. Muhammad Muti-Ur-Rehman, alias Rehman Faris, has been recognized with the Pride of Performance in the field of literature.
The ceremony provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the officers and reaffirm FBR’s commitment to excellence, institutional reform and dedicated public service.
