MEP Ond?ej Dostál calls on Federal Minister for Law, Justice & Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar; democratic values, parliamentary affairs and matters of mutual interest discussed

Member of the European Parliament Mr. Ond?ej Dostál called on Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights on Tuesday.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere and discussed Pakistan-EU relations, matters of mutual interest, promotion of democratic values, parliamentary engagement, and issues relating to law, justice and human rights.

The two sides also discussed the importance of further strengthening positive and constructive Pakistan-EU relations and promoting parliamentary engagement between the two sides.

Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar said that Pakistan attaches great importance to democratic values, the constitutional system, the rule of law and protection of human rights. He emphasized that strong democratic institutions and effective parliamentary engagement play an important role in promoting cooperation at national and international levels.

Both sides reaffirmed the importance of democratic values, rule of law and protection of human rights as shared priorities and agreed on the need to further strengthen mutual cooperation and engagement.

Member of the European Parliament Mr. Ond?ej Dostál appreciated the Federal Minister’s efforts and initiatives in the areas of constitutional and legal affairs.

Minister of State for Law, Justice and Human Rights Barrister Aqeel Malik was also present during the meeting.
