Diplomatic, political and moral support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination as consistently espoused by Pakistan is the mainstay of our foreign policy. Pakistan remains undeterred in its pursuit of protection of Kashmiris fundamental rights at every international forum. These views were expressed by Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani while addressing the Youm-e-Istehsal ceremony observed at Pakistan Embassy Kabul.
Ambassador Nizamani added that India has failed to secure domestic or international legitimacy for its illegal and hegemonic actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Kashmiris remain as defiant as ever in their resistance against India’s malicious attempts to bring about demographic changes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This unity across Kashmir sends a clear message that they will not rest till their legitimate right to self-determination is secured. So long as this spirit endures, India’s coercive and draconian policies will only strengthen their resolve.
On this occasion, messages of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar were also read. A documentary on the illegal Indian actions in occupied Jammu and Kashmir was also played.
