On the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir Federal Minister for Science and Technology Nawabzada Khalid Hussain Magsi reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He stated that India’s unilateral and illegal decision of 5 August 2019 to revoke the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir remains unacceptable, describing it as a blatant violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Federal Minister Khalid Hussain Magsi emphasized that there can be no compromise on Pakistan’s principled position regarding the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. He reiterated that support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and their legitimate struggle remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s national policy. Pakistan, he said, will continue to extend its unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Khalid Hussain Magsi further noted that India’s actions in the occupied territory have resulted in serious human rights violations and have undermined regional peace and stability. He urged the international community to take meaningful notice of the deteriorating human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to play its due role in ensuring a peaceful resolution of the dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, the Federal Minister said the country will continue to raise the Jammu and Kashmir issue at all regional and international forums. He stressed that Pakistan will never retreat from its principled stance and will always stand in solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for their internationally recognized right to self-determination.
