The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Islamabad, has significantly intensified its anti-smuggling campaign through a series of high-impact, intelligence-led operations conducted throughout July 2026, delivering a major blow to organized smuggling networks operating in the region. The sustained enforcement actions reflect Pakistan Customs' firm resolve to combat smuggling, safeguard legitimate trade, and protect the national economy.
The successful operations were carried out under the close supervision of the senior leadership of Customs Enforcement Islamabad. Acting on credible intelligence and employing coordinated enforcement strategies, anti-smuggling squads intercepted and seized twenty-four (24) high-value smuggled vehicles, along with substantial quantities of foreign-origin cigarettes, cosmetics, tyres, cloth, and other miscellaneous goods.

In addition to the smuggled vehicles, Customs Enforcement teams recovered 121,250 sleeves of foreign-brand cigarettes, along with twelve (12) offending vehicles used for their transportation. Large quantities of smuggled cosmetics, tyres, cloth, and other miscellaneous goods were also confiscated during the operations.
The total estimated value of the seized vehicles and contraband exceeds PKR 915.5 million, representing a significant disruption to illicit supply chains and dealing a substantial financial setback to organized smuggling syndicates.
Pakistan Customs remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining a robust enforcement regime against smuggling and customs fraud. Customs Enforcement Islamabad will continue to undertake intelligence-based operations in close coordination with federal and provincial law enforcement agencies to curb illegal trade, protect domestic industry, ensure fair market competition, and safeguard government revenue.
