Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, attended the Third Turkish Heritage Festival organized by the Zakat Foundation of America in Chicago. During the event, he visited various cultural, informational, and community stalls and commended the organizers for successfully hosting the festival.
Speaking to the media, Federal Minister Syed Imran Ahmad Shah stated that the friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye is founded on brotherhood, mutual respect, and deep affection. He noted that cultural festivals of this nature play a significant role in bringing the people of both countries closer together and strengthening bilateral ties.
The Minister remarked that the Zakat Foundation of America had organized an outstanding festival and that it was a great honor for him to be invited to represent Pakistan. He further stated that both the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and the Zakat Foundation of America are committed to alleviating poverty and improving the welfare of vulnerable segments of society. He added that exchanging ideas and experiences through such a platform is both valuable and encouraging.
Syed Imran Ahmad Shah also appreciated the enthusiastic participation of both Muslim and non-Muslim communities in the festival, emphasizing that such events play a vital role in promoting intercultural harmony, social cohesion, and mutual respect. Congratulating the organizers on the successful event, he expressed hope that similar initiatives would continue in the future, further strengthening friendship, cooperation, and goodwill among people of diverse cultures and nationalities.
