Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan Highlights Pakistan's Sporting Excellence and Youth Well-Being at UN Event

Chairman of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, highlighted Pakistan's enduring contribution to world football and reaffirmed the country's commitment to promoting youth mental health, inclusion, and peace through sports while addressing the United Nations Youth Office and FIFA side event, "One World, One Game, One Goal: Football as a Catalyst for Youth Mental Health and Well-Being."

Addressing the gathering of dignitaries, youth representatives, and international delegates, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan proudly presented TRIONDA, the official match ball of the FIFA World Cup 2026, manufactured in Pakistan. He noted that Pakistan has continued its remarkable tradition of producing official match balls for several FIFA World Cups, reflecting the country's globally recognised craftsmanship and manufacturing excellence.

He remarked that TRIONDA, created by the skilled hands of Pakistani workers, symbolizes craftsmanship, opportunity, and the unifying power of sport to bring people together across borders, cultures, and communities.

The Chairman said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister's Youth Programme is harnessing the transformative power of sports to strengthen young people's confidence, resilience, sense of belonging, and mental well-being, ensuring that no young person is left behind.

He emphasized that sports serve as a powerful platform for fostering inclusion, promoting healthy lifestyles, and empowering youth to become active contributors to peaceful and resilient societies.

Concluding his address, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan conveyed a message on behalf of the leadership and youth of Pakistan, stating, "When young people play together, they learn to stand together; and a generation that stands together can build a more peaceful and inclusive world."

The event brought together policymakers, international organizations, youth leaders, and sports stakeholders to discuss the role of football in advancing youth mental health, well-being, and social cohesion, while reaffirming the importance of sports as a catalyst for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
