Sub-Committee Reviews Nominations for Pakistan Civil Awards 2026

The Sub-Committee on Social Welfare Work, Philanthropy and Public Service for Pakistan Civil Awards 2026, chaired by the Federal Minister for Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, held its meeting today at the Cabinet Division, Islamabad, to review and deliberate upon the nominations received for the Pakistan Civil Awards 2026.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of the Sub-Committee, Secretary, Ministry of Human Rights, Mr. Abdul Khaliq Shaikh; Secretary, Establishment Division, Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan; senior officials of the Cabinet Division; members of the Sub-Committee; and representatives from all provinces and regions, including the Chief Secretaries, who participated through video link.

During the deliberations, the Committee carried out a comprehensive review of the nominations submitted by various nominating agencies, evaluating the distinguished contributions of individuals in the fields of social welfare, philanthropy, and public service.

The Committee reiterated that all nominations must strictly conform to the approved policy guidelines and Terms of Reference, with recommendations based solely on exceptional merit, integrity, and contributions of national significance. It was further emphasized that the evaluation process should remain transparent, objective, and fair.

The Committee also underscored the importance of ensuring balanced provincial representation and due consideration for women, minorities, and persons with disabilities in the nomination process, in line with the principles of inclusivity and national cohesion.

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman directed that the scrutiny process be finalized in accordance with the prescribed criteria to facilitate the timely submission of the Committee's recommendations to the competent authority.
