Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, has said that on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, all relevant institutions are fully mobilized to ensure the facilitation of mourners and the maintenance of peace on Ashura.
Accompanied by MPA Ziaullah Shah, he visited various sabeels set up across Rawalpindi on Friday and reviewed the arrangements.
The Parliamentary Secretary inspected the facilities being provided and directed staff to treat mourners' service as a sacred duty, ensuring uninterrupted amenities for processions and congregations.
He said all institutions are working in coordination to uphold law and order, foster brotherhood, religious harmony, and mutual respect. Effective measures have been taken for cleanliness, medical aid, traffic management, emergency services, and other civic facilities.
Barrister Danyal said the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala impart timeless lessons of truth, justice, patience, and resistance against oppression – a guiding light for the Ummah.
He urged citizens to cooperate with administration and law enforcement, adhere to the code of conduct, and play their role in promoting peace and tolerance.
