On the International Day of Women in Diplomacy, I pay tribute to the women who have devoted themselves to advancing understanding, dialogue and cooperation among nations. Their service has strengthened international partnerships and contributed to a more peaceful and connected world.
Pakistan is proud of the distinguished women who have represented our country with dignity and excellence. From Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali Khan and Begum Shaista Ikramullah, who helped shape Pakistan’s diplomatic presence in its formative years, to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, whose leadership brought global recognition to Pakistan, generations of Pakistani women have left a lasting mark on public service and international affairs.
Today, Pakistani women continue to serve with distinction as ambassadors, diplomats and representatives in international organizations and multilateral forums. Through their professionalism, judgement and dedication, they advance Pakistan’s interests and contribute to international peace and cooperation.
Pakistani women diplomats, alongside their colleagues, continue to play a meaningful role in supporting Pakistan’s contributions to peace, stability and constructive international cooperation.
On this occasion, I extend my appreciation to all Pakistani women diplomats, past and present, whose service has brought honour to our nation. Their achievements are a source of pride and continue to inspire young women across Pakistan to pursue careers in public service and international affairs.
