A delegation of the All Pakistan Fertilizer Dealers Association (APFDA) met with the Minister of State for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Bilal Azhar Kayani, at the Finance Division to discuss matters relating to the agricultural supply chain and the broader fiscal policy framework.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the role of fertilizer dealers in supporting Pakistan’s agricultural sector through the distribution of essential crop inputs across the country. The representatives also shared their views on the Federal Budget 2026-27 with regard to the tax and regulatory matters and the importance of aligning fiscal measures with market realities and operational requirements of fertilizer distribution.
The Minister acknowledged the role of the fertilizer distribution network in supporting agricultural productivity and the wider economy. He appreciated the input shared by the delegation and assured them that their proposals and recommendations would be given due consideration. He also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to maintaining a balanced and business-friendly environment through continued consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Both sides underscored the importance of sustained engagement and cooperation to support fiscal stability, agricultural productivity, and the smooth functioning of the country’s agricultural supply chain.
