Minister of State for Law and Justice, Barrister Aqeel Malik, attended the launch ceremony of the Pakistan Freedom Report 2026: Assessing Political, Civil, Economic & Digital Freedoms in Pakistan, organized by Mishal Pakistan and co-hosted by the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) in Islamabad.
The event brought together policymakers, academics, civil society representatives, media professionals, and experts to discuss the state of political, civil, economic, and digital freedoms in Pakistan. The report provides a comprehensive assessment of key indicators related to democratic governance, civic space, economic opportunities, and digital rights.
Speaking on the occasion, Barrister Aqeel Malik appreciated the efforts of Mishal Pakistan and ISSI in promoting informed dialogue on issues related to freedom, democratic values, and good governance.
