An important press conference was held in Islamabad to officially announce the Bunyan-ul-Marsoos Cricket Match, organized to commemorate the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq and Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, described as symbols of Pakistan’s resilience, unity, and success.
Chairman Prime Minister Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said the initiative aims to honor the bravery and sacrifices of Pakistan’s forces while promoting patriotism, youth engagement, and national harmony through sports.
He thanked Agha Shehraz, Lahore Qalandars, and the Shahid Afridi Foundation for supporting the event. Rana Mashhood also highlighted the achievements of the Prime Minister Talent Hunt Programme, noting that more than 300,000 young athletes participated nationwide, with several players advancing to the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He announced that the match between Celebrities II and Prime Minister Youth Programme II will take place on June 3 at the Lahore Qalandars High Performance Center in Capital Smart City, Islamabad, beginning at 6 PM. The event will also feature entertainment activities and celebrations.
Speaking at the press conference, Agha Shehraz described the initiative as a meaningful effort to celebrate Marka-e-Haq through sports and entertainment. He said the event reflects patriotism, unity, and national pride, and expressed hope that it would spread positivity and happiness among the people.
Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi appreciated Rana Mashhood for involving him in the initiative and emphasized that such events should also support former athletes and sports personalities facing financial hardships. Afridi expressed his desire to assist deserving cricketers, hockey players, and media professionals through the Prime Minister’s platform, stating that sports should not only entertain but also uplift those who have served the country.
Representing Lahore Qalandars, Rana Atif praised the Prime Minister Youth Programme for engaging the franchise in the initiative. He commended the dedication and talent displayed by young participants during the Talent Hunt Programme conducted across 28 cities, saying it demonstrated the immense potential of Pakistani youth when provided with proper opportunities.
Concluding the event, Rana Mashhood stressed the importance of youth empowerment, national unity, and constructive engagement. He praised the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for strengthening Pakistan during challenging times.
He said the Bunyan-ul-Marsoos Cricket Match is more than just a sporting event, as it sends a message of unity, patriotism, and hope to the world. With the participation of celebrities, Lahore Qalandars, and the Shahid Afridi Foundation, the event is expected to create a vibrant atmosphere and showcase Pakistan’s positive image globally on June 3.
