On the second day of the official visit, the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan led by the Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, visited the Ministry of Law and Justice, Pakistan?.

A meeting was jointly chaired by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar and the Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan Farid Ahmadov. Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik, Secretary Law and Justice Raja Naeem Akbar, and senior officials of the Ministry warmly welcomed the delegation.

During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the legal and judicial sectors. The Azerbaijani Justice Minister appreciated the arrangements made by the Ministry of Law and Justice for the delegation’s visit and termed the tour highly productive and meaningful. He also assured continued cooperation in the field of judicial training and institutional collaboration between the two countries.

On the occasion, the Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan presented the “Medal for Justice” to Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar. The honor marked the first time such a distinction has been conferred by the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan upon any foreign Law Minister.

The delegation was also briefed on the working and institutional framework of the Ministry of Law and Justice of Pakistan. Special emphasis was placed on the Ministry’s ongoing digitization initiatives, including automation of courts and the Case Management System, which were appreciated by the Azerbaijani side.

A tree plantation ceremony was also held during the visit as a gesture of friendship and cooperation between the two brotherly countries. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the growing bilateral engagement and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in legal, judicial, and institutional domains.
