Federal Minister Syed Imran Shah paid Tribute to the Armed Forces on the first Anniversary of Marka e Haq

Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, addressed the launch ceremony of the End Line Evaluation Report of the Benazir Nashonuma Programme and stated that the Nashonuma Programme is a successful investment in Pakistan’s future, as child nutrition is not only a health issue but also a matter of national economy and the well-being of future generations.

The Federal Minister said that stunting among children is a serious obstacle to Pakistan’s development, while timely attention to mothers and children during the early years has positive lifelong impacts on individuals, society, and the national economy.

He appreciated the End Line Evaluation Report prepared by Aga Khan University, terming it an important indicator of effective interventions. He emphasized that evidence-based decision-making is essential in the context of limited financial resources. He further stated that the Benazir Nashonuma Programme has set an effective example of social protection and demonstrated that transparent implementation leads to meaningful outcomes.

Syed Imran Ahmad Shah assured full support and cooperation of the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation & Social Safety with BISP and all partner organizations, adding that effective programmes would continue despite challenging financial conditions.

He stated that social protection must evolve beyond assistance and become a source of economic stability and empowerment. He stressed the need to move from statistics-based discussions toward evidence-driven impact and outcomes.

The Federal Minister expressed confidence that strong commitment and sound policies can deliver significant results, adding that Pakistan remains fully determined to secure a better future for its children. He reaffirmed that the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation & Social Safety is fully committed to advancing the agenda for today’s children and Pakistan’s future.

On the occasion, the Federal Minister also congratulated the nation on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq and paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, particularly the falcons of the Pakistan Air Force, for their professionalism, sacrifices, and historic role in the defence of the homeland.
