A vibrant cultural ceremony featuring singers, musicians, artists, and dancers captivated the audience at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts on Wednesday, as the National Heritage and Culture Division organized a special event to commemorate the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq 2025 and pay tribute to the nation’s heroes.

Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, attended the ceremony as chief guest.

The event showcased a rich blend of cultural expressions from across the country, including mili naghmas, musical performances, and artistic presentations. Singers performed in Sindhi, Balochi, Pashto, and Punjabi, paying homage to the ghazis, martyrs, and national heroes. Guitar performances and other musical segments further added to the evening’s appeal.

A large number of attendees, including foreigners specially Chinese guests, women lawyers, government officials, students, and members of civil society, witnessed the event.

Addressing the ceremony, Khichi paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces, martyrs, and veterans, stating that the nation had demonstrated unity and resilience during Marka-e-Haq 2025. He said the events of May 6 and 7 would remain a defining chapter in national history, terming attacks on civilians and places of worship a violation of international law and human values.

The minister said Pakistan’s response was decisive and effective, reaffirming that the country would make no compromise on its sovereignty and security. “This was not merely a defensive response but a manifestation of national resolve, courage, and honour,” he said.

He lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for guiding the nation during a critical period, and praised Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir for his strategic vision and firm leadership.

Khichi said the armed forces not only repelled aggression but also strengthened public confidence, emerging as a symbol of national strength and stability.

Paying homage to the martyrs and veterans, the minister expressed solidarity with their families and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to honour their sacrifices. He emphasized that unity, strong leadership, and unwavering faith remained key to overcoming challenges.

Highlighting the role of his ministry, Khichi said efforts were underway to promote Pakistan’s cultural heritage alongside recognizing the contributions of national heroes. He appreciated PNCA and other institutions for successfully organizing the commemorative event.

Concluding his address, the minister urged the nation to remain united for Pakistan’s security, development, and prosperity, and to keep alive the legacy of sacrifices made by its heroes.
