In a strategic move to fortify the nation’s anti-corruption framework, the Pakistan Anti-Corruption Academy (PACA) and the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Balochistan officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today. Inspired by the vision of Chairman NAB, Lt Gen (R) Nazir Ahmed, this partnership aims to synchronize efforts in institutional capacity building and professional training.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Ghulam Safdar Shah, Director General of PACA, and Mr. Naseebullah Kakar, Director General of ACE Balochistan.
The MoU establishes a formal roadmap for cooperation in several critical areas, including specialized professional training for ACE Balochistan officers, the exchange of best practices in financial crime investigation, and the utilization of modern forensic and investigative tools.
Following the signing, DG ACE Balochistan toured PACA’s specialized facilities, including the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), high-tech lecture rooms, and the dedicated library. He expressed a strong intent to leverage PACA’s expertise in modern investigation techniques and prosecution strategies to enhance the operational effectiveness of his department.
During the event, DG PACA Mr. Ghulam Safdar Shah stated that the Academy is committed to building the professional capacity of investigators through structured programs tailored to the emerging challenges of financial crimes. He further noted that the Academy is proud to extend its resources to provincial counterparts across the country.
DG ACE Balochistan, Mr. Naseebullah Kakar, commended the state-of-the-art training environment at the Academy and emphasized that continuous professional development is the cornerstone of effective anti-corruption work. He noted that this collaboration will significantly upgrade the skill sets of officers serving in Balochistan. This partnership is expected to catalyze a new era of joint initiatives, ensuring that law enforcement personnel are equipped with the forensic and legal expertise required to combat corruption in the modern age.
