A thirteen-member delegation of lawyers from the Multan Bar Association called on the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, at the Court premises.
The meeting was held in a highly cordial and constructive atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment towards strengthening the legal profession and enhancing access to justice. During the interaction, matters of mutual interest were discussed, with particular focus on the challenges being faced by the legal community in the region, as well as the emerging opportunities for professional growth and institutional development.
The Secretary of the Multan Bar Association briefed the Hon’ble Chief Justice regarding the efficient working of the Bar and its performance in case management. He apprised that out of approximately 40,000 pending cases, nearly 10,000 cases have been successfully disposed of, reflecting the Bar’s continued commitment towards timely justice and effective coordination within the legal system.
The Hon’ble Chief Justice appreciated the efforts of the Multan Bar Association and acknowledged the role of the legal fraternity in supporting the broader objectives of judicial efficiency and constitutional governance. He also apprised the delegation of the progress and initiatives undertaken by the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, particularly in advancing digitalization, improving institutional efficiency, and ensuring expeditious disposal of cases.
The visiting lawyers extended a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Chief Justice to visit the Multan Bar Association, which was graciously acknowledged.
As a gesture of respect and cultural goodwill, the delegation presented traditional Ajrak and a Multani topi to the Hon’ble Chief Justice, symbolizing the rich cultural heritage of the region.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides reaffirming their resolve to work collaboratively for the betterment of the legal fraternity and the justice system in Pakistan.
