Message of His Excellency, the Federal Minister Culture and National Heritage Government of Pakistan on 88th Death Anniversaryof Allama Muhammad Iqbal(21st April, 2026)

Islamabad: April 21, 2026

On Iqbal Day, we pay tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal, whose thought remains a vital source of guidance for Pakistan’s future. His philosophy of selfhood, moral strength, intellectual freedom, and continuous striving offers a powerful foundation for reforming our education system, empowering our youth, and promoting our cultural heritage.

Iqbal viewed education not merely as a means of livelihood, but as a process of intellectual, moral, and spiritual development. In this spirit, Pakistan must build an education system that nurtures character, responsibility, creativity, and national purpose.

Iqbal also saw youth as the driving force of national progress. It is therefore essential to create better opportunities for their training, skill development, and constructive participation in nation-building.

At the same time, Pakistan’s cultural heritage must be preserved and promoted in the light of Iqbal’s thought, so that our society remains rooted in its values while moving confidently toward progress.

On this Iqbal Day, we renew our commitment to building a Pakistan that is strengthened by knowledge, guided by character, enriched by culture, and empowered by its youth.

Pakistan Paindah Baad!
