Multan: Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, called on Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at Gilani House in Multan. Nadeem Afzal Chan was also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the overall political situation of the country, prevailing economic challenges, and matters related to national stability. Both sides emphasized that political harmony and continuity of the democratic process are indispensable under the current circumstances.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi stressed that all political forces must work collectively to address the challenges facing the country, with a primary focus on resolving public issues and improving governance.
Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, on the occasion, stated that Parliament remains the cornerstone for strengthening democracy in the country. He underlined that all institutions must perform their roles within their constitutional boundaries in the larger national interest. He further noted that consultation and dialogue are the only viable way forward to resolve national issues.
The meeting also underscored the importance of maintaining law and order, promoting public welfare, and accelerating the pace of development. Both leaders agreed on the need for joint efforts to ensure political stability and sustainable progress in the country.
