For the first time, full-time field monitoring staff have been recruited through a specialized service provider and deployed in the Federal Directorate of Education on the directions of the Federal Secretary for Education to carry out regular monitoring and evaluation of 432 public sector educational institutions across the capital.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistants (MEAs) have been equipped with motorcycles and tablets loaded with standardized monitoring tools and applications. Following comprehensive in-house training, they are now actively conducting field visits—capturing real-time data and generating evidence that drives timely diagnostics and corrective actions to enhance the quality of education.
In a review meeting chaired by the Secretary, initial monitoring reports were thoroughly examined, and clear directions were issued for immediate remedial measures. Early insights are already paving the way for smarter decisions and faster improvements.
The MEAs’ work is proving instrumental in strengthening governance, enhancing transparency, and boosting institutional performance across public schools and colleges under FDE. This consistent and data-driven monitoring approach is transforming how institutions function.
