Meeting of the Federal Minister of Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, with the Delegation of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP)

Islamabad: March 12, 2026

A delegation from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), led by President Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, met with the Federal Minister of Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal. The delegation included Senior Vice President of CPSP, Professor Mohammad Shoaib Shafi, Director of International Relations Major General Professor Mazhar Ishaq, Professor Dr. Javed Kiani, and CPSP Legal Advisor Dr. Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah.

During the meeting, CPSP President Professor Khalid Masood Gondal highlighted the national and international services of the college and discussed the college’s professional activities, training programs, and overall performance in detail. He thanked Federal Minister of Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, for his gracing the CPSP convocation and gave a detailed update on the recent collaborations with Facilitation of Ministry of Health with Middle Eastern countries including Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

On this occasion, the Federal Minister of Health said that CPSP is a distinguished and proud institution in Pakistan that has played a pivotal role in postgraduate medical education and the training of specialist doctors in the country. He stated that due to the efforts of this institution, Pakistani doctors are not only proving their professional abilities within the country but also around the world.

Syed Mustafa Kamal remarked that Pakistani doctors are our ambassadors, enhancing Pakistan's positive image globally through their skill, hard work, and professional integrity. He emphasized that wherever Pakistani doctors are serving, they are making Pakistan proud. He said that the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan is a source of pride, and doctors who receive fellowships from CPSP are making their mark worldwide with their skills.

The Federal Minister of Health appreciate CPSP’s contribution to promoting quality medical education, research, and specialized training, stating that the institution plays a fundamental role in strengthening the healthcare system of the country. He expressed his commitment to continuing the government's full support and Facilitation with CPSP to further improve the health sector and the standard of medical education.
