AMBASSADOR OF PAKISTAN VISITS THE RUSSIAN GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY

H.E. Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, visited the headquarters of the Russian Geographical Society (RGO) in Moscow. During the visit, he met with Mr. Artyom Manukyan, First Vice President and Executive Director of the RGO.

During the meeting, Mr. Manukyan provided a briefing on the 180-year history of the Society. He noted that the founding fathers who established the Geographical Society were among the primary explorers of the Arctic. Mr. Manukyan also highlighted the RGO's eight international representative offices currently operating in different countries and expressed a strong interest in establishing the next international center in Pakistan.

Ambassador Tirmizi briefed the RGO leadership on the geographic and historical diversity of Pakistan. He assured his full cooperation in facilitating the establishment of the Russian Geographical Society’s next international center in Pakistan.
