The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), an attached organization of Ministry of Housing and Works has formally inaugurated development work in Sectors F-14 and F-15, Islamabad.
Federal Minister for Housing & Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, inaugurated the development work at a ceremony held at the project site. The Minister unveiled the commemorative plaque and planted a tree along with Secretary Housing & Works, Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Mehmood, MNA Mr. Anjum Aqeel, and Mr. Malik Ibrar Ahmed.
Under the agreement, the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) will execute and complete the development works in both sectors. The housing sectors were originally launched in 2015 but faced delays due to various administrative and legal issues. However, as a result of sustained efforts to resume the stalled works, development activities have now gained renewed momentum. Sectors F-14 and F-15 comprise approximately 11,000 residential plots spread over 10,875 kanals, located at a prime site in Islamabad.
Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Minister for Housing and Works expressed satisfaction that FGEHA’s housing sectors are gradually coming back on track. He assured that fair compensation would be provided wherever applicable.
The Minister reiterated his commitment to fulfilling all promises and ensuring transparent, efficient, and timely completion of development projects.
The Federal Minister highlighted that, under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the government will deliver on its promises and personally ensured the fulfillment of all commitments. He also commended the FGEHA legal team for their tireless efforts in resolving all legal hurdles and urged all allottees to make timely payment of their installments to ensure the speedy completion of the project.
Secretary Housing & Works, DG FGEHA Captain Rtd Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and Commander Engineer NLC, Brigadier Muhammad Salman Malik, also addressed the event. The Secretary assured that all grievances and concerns of stakeholders, including landowners, allottees, contractors, and FGEHA, would be addressed promptly.
