Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, has approved the elimination of a stagnant sewage pond and the construction of a beautiful public park at the same site for the residents of Dispensary Road, Peoples Colony, and Ghausia Colony in Sahiwal. He made this announcement while addressing local residents at the opening ceremony of the Park.

The Federal Minister stated that providing citizens with a clean, healthy, and pleasant environment is one of the government’s top priorities. He said that due to the sewage pond, the local community had been facing serious problems, which were taken up on an urgent basis. He added that the site will now be converted into a park, offering a recreational facility for children and the elderly.

The residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Federal Minister and on this occasion, citizens gave him a warm welcome, presented floral garlands, and showered flowers to express their affection.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, a collective prayer was offered for national development, prosperity, and the betterment of Sahiwal.

Later, Federal Minister Syed Imran Ahmad Shah inaugurated a restaurant on City Bypass Road, where a large number of notable citizens, traders, and residents were present. According to the administration, the restaurant will offer quality Arabic, Chinese, Pakistani, Turkish, and Continental cuisines under one roof. The Federal Minister said that such business ventures create employment opportunities at the local level and play an important role in strengthening the economy.
