Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan Takes Strict Notice of Tragic M-9 Motorway Accident; Orders Ban on Vehicles with Expired Tires

Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, has taken strict notice of the tragic accident on the M-9 Motorway and has directed the Inspector General (IG) Motorways to conduct an immediate investigation and submit a detailed report. The Minister emphasized that no one can be permitted to jeopardize innocent human lives through negligence.

Issuing special directives to the Motorway Police, Abdul Aleem Khan stated that the tire quality of every vehicle—large or small—entering the motorway must be strictly inspected. He categorically instructed that vehicles equipped with expired or substandard tires must not be allowed onto the motorway under any circumstances.

Abdul Aleem Khan further added, "While there is an urgent need for closer monitoring of commercial vehicles, the inspection of private vehicles must also be ensured. The defined safety standards for motorway travel will be maintained at all costs to prevent such tragic incidents in the future."

The Federal Minister described the M-9 accident as deeply painful and expressed his heartfelt condolences and grief to the bereaved families of the victims. He prayed for the departed souls and for the strength of the families to bear this irreparable loss.
