Dubai: 2 February 2026 — Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Mr. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, was received today by H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, upon his visit to the Consulate. The Federal Minister held a meeting with officers of the Consulate, during which issues concerning the welfare and facilitation of Pakistani nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates were discussed. Highlighting the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to overseas Pakistanis, the Minister outlined key measures undertaken to safeguard and enhance the welfare of citizens seeking employment abroad. He particularly emphasized the importance of pre-departure training and the imparting of soft skills to better prepare Pakistani workers for overseas job markets. He noted that the Ministry is facilitating the establishment of credible and reputable training institutions to provide skills training in sectors with high employability. During the visit, the Federal Minister also toured various sections of the Consulate and reviewed the delivery of consular services, including passport issuance, national identity cards, community welfare and other public facilitation services.
