National Disaster Management Authority’s (NDMA) Gender & Community Cell held the blood donation drive at NDMA Headquarters in collaboration with Life Savers Welfare Organization.
The initiative was held as part of NDMA’s broader commitment to community resilience and humanitarian support, recognizing that voluntary blood donation is a critical lifeline for emergency response, surgeries, maternal care, accident victims, and patients with chronic illnesses.
NDMA officers and staff participated enthusiastically, demonstrating strong solidarity and a shared sense of civic responsibility. The drive received a positive response across departments, and donors came forward in significant numbers, reflecting NDMA’s collective commitment to saving lives beyond disaster response operations.
Representatives from Life Savers facilitated the donation process, ensuring adherence to standard health and safety protocols and providing guidance to donors throughout the drive. The event concluded successfully, with the blood collected to be channeled through Life Savers’ network to support hospitals and patients requiring urgent transfusions. Life Savers is registered non-profit that has been actively working since 2010 in the fields of blood donation, emergency response, free medical camps, public health awareness, and humanitarian services across Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
