The Federal Tax Ombudsman visited the Rawalpindi Tax Bar Association on 29th January 2026 and held a meaningful and constructive interaction with the tax fraternity. Upon arrival, the President and Vice President of the Rawalpindi Tax Bar Association warmly received the Federal Tax Ombudsman. The Advisor Legal to the Federal Tax Ombudsman was also present during the visit.
Addressing the gathering, the Federal Tax Ombudsman stated that his interest does not lie in the number of complaints filed, but in the impact and effectiveness of the relief provided to taxpayers. He emphasized that real justice is measured by meaningful outcomes rather than statistics.
He reaffirmed that the doors of the Federal Tax Ombudsman’s office are always open for taxpayers, stressing that transparency, integrity, and accessibility remain the foundation of the institution. He shared that when work is carried out with honesty and dedication, Allah creates pathways forward, and with consistent effort, the organization will gradually reach a strong and credible position, Insha’Allah.
The Federal Tax Ombudsman encouraged tax practitioners to move forward with courage and determination while actively supporting taxpayers in case proceedings. He expressed his vision of transforming the FTO office into an institution that inspires public confidence and trust.
He also urged tax practitioners to focus on issue-oriented complaints to help address systemic challenges and bring sustainable improvements to the tax administration framework.

The visit concluded with mutual appreciation and a shared commitment to continued engagement for the effective resolution of taxpayer grievances.
