A high-level meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, to review the one-year performance of the Ministry’s ancillary organizations.

Senior officials from Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Trust for Voluntary Organizations (TVO) and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) briefed the Minister on ongoing initiatives related to poverty graduation, climate resilience, social protection, and other key areas.

The Federal Minister appreciated the transparency, accountability, and effective implementation mechanisms adopted by the institutions. He particularly commended BISP Secretary Amir Ahmad Ali for the Programme’s digital initiatives, terming the introduction of BISP Digital Wallets as a significant step towards improved service delivery.

The Minister directed Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal to ensure that no negligence occurs in providing facilities to poor and deserving patients.

He further instructed that inter-institutional coordination and project performance of all the departments be strengthened to ensure timely and effective assistance to vulnerable segments of society.

The meeting reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to accelerating efforts for poverty reduction, sustainable development, and the protection of marginalized groups.
