Ambassadors of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) called on Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, including regional and international security dynamics, defence cooperation, and avenues for enhanced engagement between Pakistan and ASEAN member states.
The Defence Minister highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its relations with ASEAN countries, underscoring the importance of dialogue, mutual respect, and cooperation for regional peace and stability. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for ASEAN’s central role in promoting regional stability and prosperity.
The ASEAN Ambassadors appreciated Pakistan’s positive role in regional peace efforts and expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.
The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to deepen bilateral and multilateral engagement in the future.
