Acting President, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani held separate meetings with Hafez
Hussain Ahmed Madani and Nawabzada Sardar Rafiq Abbasi at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.
During the meetings, matters relating to South Punjab came under discussion,
with a particular focus on the region’s needs and priorities. The Acting President
reiterated his longstanding commitment to the development and prosperity of South
Punjab and the welfare of its people.
The visitors appreciated the services rendered by Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani for
Pakistan, particularly for South Punjab. They also paid tribute to his timely and effective
public service initiatives during the recent floods, noting his active role in relief and
support efforts.
Talking to them, the Acting President said that South Punjab is very close to his
heart. He added that the development and prosperity of South Punjab is integral to the
overall progress of Pakistan.
