Pakistan Customs at the Air Cargo Control Unit (ACCU), Collectorate of Customs, Airports, Karachi, has successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle marijuana into Pakistan through the International Mail Office (IMO), Karachi.
The contraband, approximately 1.03 kg (gross), valued at Rs.30.716 million, was concealed in a parcel originating from the USA and falsely declared as containing “books.”
The seizure reflects Pakistan Customs’ continued vigilance against smuggling through all channels, including international mail, ensuring enforcement of the law and protection of public safety.
The FBR remains committed to curb smuggling, corrupt practices and illicit trade to protect revenue and boost national economy.
