The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has commenced a project for the distribution of winter kits in Pakistan. In connection therewith, a formal ceremony was convened at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad, attended by the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.
In his address at the ceremony, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, remarked that the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are founded upon principles of fraternity, mutual affection, and unwavering trust. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has consistently provided support to Pakistan during periods of adversity. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is actively involved in global initiatives for human welfare, with Pakistan occupying a prominent position therein. Pursuant to this project, 22,000 winter kits are being allocated to eligible families throughout the nation, thereby benefiting approximately 154,000 individuals. The assistance package comprises two blankets, winter apparel for the entire family, sweaters, thermal socks, and headwear.
The Federal Minister, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, further indicated that the distribution process shall be finalized within the ensuing days via the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs), Rural Support Programmes, and local administrative bodies. This endeavour is being executed through collaborative efforts between the federal and provincial governments of Pakistan and the humanitarian aid institution of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, namely the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. This initiative serves as a manifestation of the altruistic compassion and solidarity extended by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman towards the populace of Pakistan. The Minister conveyed particular appreciation to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Nawaf Saeed Al-Malki. He expressed profound gratitude for the magnanimous collaboration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, observing that this gesture of fraternal solidarity and empathy will further fortify the bonds between the citizens and governments of both nations. He concluded with dedicated invocations for the enhancement of relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, alongside aspirations for enduring peace and prosperity.
Under the auspices of this project, winter kits shall be disseminated among 22,000 deserving families, yielding benefits to over 154,000 individuals.
