The Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Sargodha achieved major success in its
ongoing anti-smuggling drive during the second week of December 2025, seizing multiple
consignments of smuggled goods with a total value of Rs. 119.38 million through intelligence-
based operations across its jurisdiction.
Acting on credible intelligence, the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Sargodha
seized 584 non-duty-paid, foreign-origin high-end mobile phones from Sargodha city, valued at
Rs. 72.43 million. In a separate operation, a used Toyota Prius worth Rs. 6.7 million was also
seized for violation of customs laws.
In another enforcement action, ASO Mianwali intercepted consignments of foreign-origin
sheesha, supari, niswar and cigarettes, collectively valued at over Rs. 28 million. Meanwhile,
ASO Faisalabad seized a smuggled consignment of walnuts and walnut kernels worth Rs. 12.25
million.
All seized goods have been taken into custody and further legal proceedings are being
initiated under the relevant provisions of the Customs Act, 1969.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reaffirmed its firm resolve to continue
intelligence-led enforcement measures against smuggling, ensuring protection of national
revenue and strict implementation of customs laws across the country.
